Mardi Himal Trek Route
The Mardi Himal Trek route winds through narrow mountain
paths and enters deep into magical rhododendron forest until you climb out of
the forest at 3,300m. The terrain onward changes abruptly from lush forest to
rocky and barren terrain with remarkable views of Mardi Himal, Machhapuchhre,
Annapurna South and Hiunchuli.
As you climb high, you will get into the base camp which unfolds
superb and up-close view of entire Annapurna region.
There are basic guest houses and homestay along the trail
which simple yet comfortable accommodation and fooding facilities. If you wish
to trek Mardi Himal in winter or monsoon, we suggest you to check the
availability of lodges on the trail.
Mardi Himal Best Season
Spring (March - May) and autumn (September - December) are
the best times of the year for Mardi Himal Trek. The weather during these
months remain stable and the views are outstandingly clear.
In Monsoon, the weather gets unpredictable and the rain makes
the trail slippery and hazardous. Winter trekking in Mardi Himal is extremely
cold which might not be suitable for all trekkers.

Day 02: Kathmandu valley sightseeing and trek preparation day
Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (880m/2,900ft) - 5 - 6 hours drive
Day 04: Drive from Pokahra to Dhampus Phedi (1,130m) and trek to Pothana (2,100m/6,890ft) - 1.5 hour drive and 3 - 4 hour trek
Day 05: Trek from Pothana to Kokar Forest Camp (2,550m/8,500ft) - 5 - 6 hours
Day 06: Trek from Forest Camp to Low Camp (2,970m/9,750ft) - 4 - 5 hours
Day 07: Trek from Low Camp to High Camp (3,900m/12,800ft) - 3 - 4 hours
